As a direct result of the globalised world, more and more couples are getting married abroad. Getting married outside of one’s own country may be a great opportunity for couples with different nationalities, or for those who prefer a wedding with a more exotic location. A wedding organised abroad however means a lot more planning and legal hassle. In our present article, we have summarised the main aspects of Hungary’s standpoint on marriages contracted outside of Hungary.

When can a condominium be established?
A condominium can be established for an existing or to-be-constructed building if it contains at least two units that can be registered as separate ownerships, which can either be residential or non-residential premises. Any other parts of the building become the common ownership of the co-owners.
An amendment to the provisions of the Civil Code on the exercise of joint parental responsibility entered into force on the 1st January 2022, according to which the legislator allows the court to decide on joint exercise of parental custody and alternate custody even at the request of only one of the parents, provided that it is in the best interests of the minor child.
